Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility software
The 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 VC is compatible with the dedicated TAMRON Lens Utility software (for computers and Android™ [2] OS) that was developed in-house by TAMRON[3]. This software allows various lens and camera settings to be assigned to the Focus Set Button located on the lens. Also, the lens' firmware[4] can be updated to the latest version. In addition, when using the mobile version, functions unique to the mobile version can be operated remotely without touching the lens. Users may customize functions[5] for various still photography and videography shooting styles, thereby providing a more personalized and fulfilling shooting experience.
Additionally, with the 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 VC you can select the “Focus Limiter” function that allows you to limit the focus search range of the AF. This function shortens the time taken to refocus when a subject slips out of focus and prevents focusing on obstacles in front of a subject.
